We booked the Switha’s for the entire day and OMG we were so glad we did. Music was one of the most important parts of the day for us and we searched around for the perfect band/music combination, but it was Silvio’s voice that made us fall for the Switha’s – the most perfect voice!

The whole band were absolutely fantastic, providing music for our ceremony and then as entertaining guests during our welcome drinks. In the evening they were fabulous playing songs that our guests enjoyed and made people want to dance. We didn’t provide a set list as we left everything up to the band, and for the DJ set afterwards. They were such a big part of our day, and we could not recommend them enough. Silvio was amazing from initial contact to the day itself. He was always on hand to offer advice on various other aspects of the day and was extremely contactable which really helped during planning. All members of the band were very friendly and made our day feel even more special. We cannot recommend The Switha’s enough – if you book them your music will be in the BEST hands!

Choosing Switha’s Band for our wedding music was, without doubt, the best decision we made for the whole day. They brought amazing energy and were so professional throughout. They took on board all our requests, even the last minute unexpected changes, nothing was a problem. The sound quality at our outdoor ceremony and reception drinks was perfect. We got the full package available with The Swithas for our wedding in august. we had a mix of old, young, Irish and English guests. We did not make any prior requests although there was a few last minute ones made by myself when Silvio was DJ! Our guests were blown away by the music including reception, ceremony, band and finally the DJ. Music was so important to our day and they delivered.
It doesn’t sound or look like it’s a Job to Swithas Band. Could not recommend them enough to anyone looking for a music for such an important day.
We genuinely look forward to seeing them play again.

This band will completely blow you away! Silvio and the rest of the group are honestly outstanding at what they do! Silvio has the best voice and can adapt seemlessly between many genres depending on how the crowd are feeling!!
Silvio even picked up on small things I asked him to do that he felt weren’t 100% and he was spot on it! So pro-active and genuinely eager with making sure everything runs smoothly!
So responsive, friendly and calming. They are honestly the best in their field!

The floor was floor all night and everyone commented on how good they were all day long!! They are really amazing!!!

We booked the full day package with the Swithas. They were EXCEPTIONAL! The dance floor (which we rented from them was a light up dance floor it felt like a fairytale) and it was full all night long! We booked 2 weeks vacation in Carvoeiro to get away from the bad weather in The Netherlands and celebrate new year in nice temperatures. What can I say!!!!! A massive thank you to Silvio & the entire Swithas band for playing at our wedding! From the ceremony at Nossa Senhora da Rocha to the cocktail hour and after-dinner band & DJ at a different venue 40min away, they totally nailed it at our wedding.

Silvio really had a knack for selecting the right songs that got everyone, even the older generation, up on the dance floor all night long – we never saw an empty dance floor. The vibe they created was just so energizing and fun, and closely tailored for us and our guests regardless of their differing nationalities (UK, USA, Australia, Germany)!

Our guests were all praises for the Switha’s Band – we had multiple comments the next day saying that they were the best wedding band they’ve ever come across. They felt like more than just a band – they were a part of our big day, taking photos and videos for us and letting us sing some of our favourite songs as well! They really added that extra spark to our wedding, making it all the more memorable for us by making sure all night that the bride & groom were always comfortable and happy with the music.

We hired The Swithas to play at our wedding based on the set list that they shared with us, which is very large and caters to a range taste of music styles. As we were marrying abroad with little knowledge of the bands who play in that area, we were just happy to have found a band, but they turned out to be better than any I’ve seen at any wedding. Silvio’s voice is great and the rest of his band are extremely enthusiastic, which really lifts the mood when they play. They also let 2 of us join them on stage to play along with them after finding out we were musicians. Having played in bands before, I appreciate how trusting it was of them to do this, and it made the night even more special for all involved. Highly recommend booking this band!
Silvio was also able to provide background music on the day and carry out all the AV required, which made planning the wedding so much easier.,

In October, my friend asked me to plan a wedding for her at my guesthouse in Praia da Luz. At the top of my entertainment list was The Switha’s Band and luckily, the band were free on the date we needed – I think mainly down to the fact it was a Tuesday!!
I met with my couple & showed them videos etc of The Swithas and due to budget they opted for the DJ package (I have to say I was VERY disappointed about this!). But all the way home and in the car in Ireland, they continued to listen to the Band, and just fell in love with them & thought how silly it’d be not to have the band… so they changed to the full wedding pack. The Switha’s provided music & microphones/speakers for the ceremony, Acoustic guitar & vocals for the poolside Welcome cocktails & Canapés, Microphones/speakers for the speeches, Music throughout the meal, a Live band & a DJ.

On the night of, the Band really read the crowd, they knew PERFECTLY what songs to play and everybody was dancing from start to finish. I asked the couple if they regret changing their mind and their answer: having the full band was the best decision & well worth the money, they made the party! & I would 10000% agree and recommend The Switha’s Band to anyone hosting any event, they are super professional, all so so lovely & amazing musicians.

We booked the Switha’s full day package for our wedding on the 02.06.23. Silvio was so easy to deal with and no request was too much. He read our guests so well and knew exactly what songs to play to get them up on the floor. The amount of comments we got on how amazing they were is unbelievable.

The next morning Silvio contacted me to say he had taken some videos of the day and sent them on to me. I just felt like this wasn’t something he needed to do and appreciate them so much!

Silvio and the Swithas Band provided the Music for our wedding from start to end and we couldn’t have asked for more. We wanted music to be a big part of our day and we were not left wanting.

The music before and during the ceremony that was the perfectly timed and volume set the tone for the day.

We had a quick chat with Silvio before dinner about the mood/energy we were looking for. The background music was a great mix with the right energy to keep things lively, at dinner you could see people smiling as songs came on and they even commented about how it complimented the flow.

From the moment the band began the room was filled with nodding heads, tapping feet and a very full dance floor. That didn’t let up for a moment the entire night, it was a truly unbelievable sight to see all of our guests enjoying themselves so much.

To top it off the Swithas allowed my sister in law to join them for a song, it was so good they asked her to stay for a second!

Thank you Silvio and the Swithas for helping create such an awesome environment on our wedding day and for doing so in a way that took all the stress out of it. I have friends already looking for your details and we can’t wait so see you again.

We just want to thank the Swithas Band for everything they did on our wedding day. They were truely exceptional, they were involved in our ceremony, drinks reception, dinner, party and DJ.

Just from the very beginning they made the whole experience no stress for us. All they needed was what kind of atmosphere we were looking for at the different stages of the day, any specific songs we wanted and they took care of the rest.

This experience continued on the wedding day, Silvio himself checked in with the groom to make sure he was feeling ok and all the ceremony music and audio aspects to the ceremony were perfect!

For the reception, Silvio performed for the 90 minute session and it was so so good! The music performed was absolutely ideal and set the relaxed vibe we were looking for as our guests enjoyed the canapés and drinks!

After dinner the band were outstanding, they created the atmosphere and the interaction they had with the guests was just outstanding.

The transition from the band playing to the dj taking over towards the end of the night was also seamless, they were fast and efficient in moving it inside and the interaction again was amazing!

The Swithas band are true professionals, our guests could not get over how good they were.

We know how stressful selecting the band can be for your big day but we cannot recommend The Swithas Band highly enough!

We booked the Swithas band for the full day of our wedding including ceremony set up, cocktail hour, full band and DJ. The cocktail music by Silvio was perfect, great song choices and what a voice! The band were outstanding! So much energy and from the first song the whole dance floor was packed. My family have said it was the best wedding band they have ever seen. Being Irish, the music was tailored for us and the dance floor was full for the entire set. The DJ by Silvio was also amazing, again excellent song choices tailored to suit all ages and music styles of our guests. We cannot thank Silvio and the band enough for making our day amazing and such good fun!

Where do I start with this Band and Silvio. First off the voice it is something so special and you can tell he really cares about his skill. Not only that but his communication on the lead up to the wedding was brilliant. He also learnt my father daughter dance.

The dance floor was full for the night we even ended up dancing on tables. Prior to this I thought I was a classy a bride ?

My dad ended up surprising the Swithas and sang our first dance. They completely took this in their stride and it was such a magical moment. Although dad went back a couple more times as I think he wanted to part of the Swithas band ?

The ceremony music still gives me goosebumps and they really made us feel so special. Our day was magical and the Swithas and Silvio were a huge part of the happiest day of our life. We will be forever grateful.

When we started planning our wedding our number one priority was for our guests to have the most amazing day. We knew one of the biggest factors would be entertainment so we set out to find an extremely talented band. We booked The Swithas Band in 2020 with the help of our wedding planners and after seeing their videos on Instagram!
To say the guys were absolutely amazing on the day would be an understatement! They had everyone up dancing the minute they started and the dance-floor stayed full the entire night. They were great fun, friendly, and you can tell a mile off they love what they do.

My husband and I was lucky enough to to book The Switha’s band for our wedding in north Portugal and we can not recommend them enough! Silvio was fantastic with communication leading up to the big day and no ask was too big. The band learned a new song for our first dance and even let my mum borrow a guitar for a few songs during the ceremony and dinner. The whole band traveled up to the Douro valley and everyone was super friendly and incredibly talented. We would definitely recommend to book to full wedding package with microphones and speakers for ceremony and dinner speeches as well as live band and DJ. Silvio was such a support on the day making sure everything was running smoothly and have no doubts about their equipment, it is of the highest quality! We had the amazing Silvio Switha play at a recent Surprise birthday event in Albufeira. He played acoustic guitar music at a welcome drink, arranged the music throughout dinner and then DJ’d at the evening party. Silvio was great from initial contact and was always very responsive, answering any queries I had which was very helpful when trying to organise a party in Portugal from the UK! The acoustic music was great with a great playlist to choose from and he also helped with finding Portuguese music to play. He was great at reading the room and changing the music to suit the guests! We had our wedding day on 23rd of September and thanks to Silvio and the Swithas Band it was truly the best day of our lives. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and made a huge effort to learn our favourite song so that we could have it as our first dance. On the wedding day itself Silvio looked after our ceremony music, cocktail music, reception band and the dj set. Every moment of music was fantastic. Our guests had the best time and cannot stop talking about The Swithas Band being the best live band they have ever seen. Booking The Swithas Band was the best decision we made and we cannot recommend them enough. They are truly amazing and we will be forever grateful to them for making our dreams come true. Roll.on our 1 year anniversary when hopefully we can come back and see them in action once again. Thanks for everything guys xxx

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Swithas band play at our wedding; they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

We recently went to another wedding and thought the band was incredible, little did we know that Swithas band would completely blow them out of the water. Their song choices were fantastic and suited each stage of our day. Switha sang some beautiful songs at our ceremony, set the mood at the drinks reception and had everyone up and dancing from the first song. I have never seen people hit the dance floor like that but no one could help themselves. Every time I went to get a drink I was disappointed I was missing another great song. All our guests are still talking about how excellent the band were. In addition, they were all incredibly lovely, were willing to learn our first dance song and were wonderfully accommodating. I would recommend them for any event, you won’t regret it.

Silvio’s talents are endless. We all know how much the music is important at a wedding and these guys rocked it. Silvio has so much experience and it really shows… himself and the band had everybody up dancing. 2 weeks later guests are still talking about them. I would highly recommend them…. and might some day twist their arm to come to a party in Ireland too 😉

The Swithas played at our wedding in June and were simply amazing! All throughout the day the music was awesome and everything ran so smoothly – Silvio and the guys put so much work into ensuring that everything is just perfect. Silvio’s relaxed acoustic set worked great during welcome drinks and in the evening the band were INCREDIBLE – they are fantastic musicians and sound so tight – we have many photos and videos of guests going crazy on the dance floor! We really wanted a band that were the real deal (and not a gimmicky wedding band) – and the Swithas were certainly that. Thanks SO SO much guys – it was the best decision ever to book you. The Swithas band were the absolute BEST and made our wedding party!! The variety of songs they play is so impressive (from latest pop to country to Irish!) and the dance floor was full the entire night. They even took special requests which meant so much to us. If your looking for a great band and entertainment, look no further. These guys do everything.

No need to worry that they’ll get people dancing and having a good time, they won’t let you sit down.

The other small things make all the difference too, they allowed the couple of small children to play along to songs with a tambourine – this made their day.

Oh but sorry about our friend who decided he could sing and borrowed you mic – he couldn’t sing haha!!

Paul and I had our wedding last week and we are still buzzing over the amazing music provided by Silvio and the band. We cannot recommend Silvio and The Switha band highly enough. Our family members provided music at the ceremony and each one have remarked on how kind and helpful Silvio was helping them setup. The acoustic set before dinner was perfect but the best was yet to come. The music during the reception was absolutely brilliant, at one point it looked as though every single guest was on the floor dancing! We were lucky enough to have Silvio and the band play for us at our wedding last June. Cannot recommend this band more, they made the night and party!! Silvio even did Dj and an acoustic predinner set for us. Their music and song selection was brilliant and couldn’t have been more impressed with them. Myself and my now wife Gemma chose Silvio & the band to play our wedding in Portugal on 9th October 2017 – and they were truly awesome.
Silvio has a beautiful voice and did some stunning acoustic covers for our welcome drinks.
The full evening band were incredible, playing through songs we had requested. The wedding party got a bit rowdy (as you do), and Silvio obliged in playing some proper rock n roll covers for the guests to get out the air guitars, including a head banging rendition of Rage against the machine.
We loved it, the guests loved it, and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I challenge anyone who is unsure if they should hire the Switha’s to try find a reason NOT to, after they have heard or seen them! They are an amazing band and true entertainers (not just talented musicians). Two years on from my wedding and the guests are still talking about how good Silvio and crew were.

Silvio and his band did an amazing job not only singing for the ceremony but for cocktails and then upping the tempo for a great evenings entertainment. Everyone at the wedding loved them and when we come back to Portugal we have to go and see them as they are always such good entertainment and so much fun.

This band are so entertaining, you can see from their clips how much fun thier guests have. They offer a range of songs which will make you dance and they sound amazing. I highly recommend them to everyone.

The band are brilliant. They play live music from all genres and even played Metallica, Rage Against the Machine and Foo Fighters at my brothers wedding on 2/9/17. It means a lot that they took the time to find out the type of music my brother and sister in law like.
All the band members were really friendly and happy to chat to the guests once the set had finished. They then did a DJ set with loads a varied music.
There was a great atmosphere and everyone had an amazing time

We chose The Swithas band for our wedding in Portugal on Easter Tuesday this year.
We were given a few recommendations by our wedding planner and as we never got a chance to go see the band play we listened to them on you tube.
Myself and my ‘now’ husband listened separately to a few different bands and we both decided on the same one and we did not regret our decision!
This band were truly amazing and made our wedding day so special. We booked them for the whole day package and we were completely blown away by their professional and their amazing talent, Silvio’s voice and choice of songs were perfect!!
Silvio sang for our wedding ceremony followed by our drinks reception. We were married in a garden villa and the sound of him singing with just his guitar was fantastic. Following the dinner the band played and answered all requests they could and then finished off with a dj session.
I can honestly say that the dancefloor was never empty. The guests are still complimenting us on our choice of band and caterers!! Everyone had an absolute ball.
The band played right til the very end and efficiently cleared up after themselves. They were very humbled by our gratitude.
We told the band we would be heading onto Vilamoura for the next week and they said to call see them. We went to watch them in The Brewery bar and as soon as they recognised us come in, they played a special request for us, our first dance song. We thought this was such a lovely gesture and we chatted and caught up with Silvio, Paul and the rest of the band.
I honestly couldn’t recommend this band enough to anyone. We will most definitely be going to watch them again when back in Portugal.
Trust me, if you choose this band for your wedding day, you will not be disappointed!

We had the Switha’s Band play at our wedding on the 29th May 2017 and they were absolutely amazing. Silvio’s voice is beautiful and the whole band is so talented! Their version of Kings of Leon “Use Somebody” that we had for our first dance was incredible – I may be biased but it’s my favourite ever version. They had everyone dancing all night. Silvio Switha is a pretty damn good singer, with the biggest heart I have meet. Beautiful and clean voice.
